ADAPT Center to host the FREME

After two years, FREME is getting close to the end of its development road. The FREME Consortium is glad to announce that the open framework of e-Services for multilingual and semantic enrichment of digital content will be hosted by the Irish ADAPT Center, a dynamic research centre that combines the world-class expertise of researchers at four universities (Trinity College Dublin, Dublin City University, University College Dublin and Dublin Institute of Technology) with that of its industry partners to produce ground-breaking digital content innovations. FREME Tutorial at Tekom 2016

The Tekom conferences are the German speaking conferences of the Gesellschaft für Technische Kommunikation. The annual conference is held every autumn in the same place. Since 2014, this is Stuttgart, Germany. It is accompanied by the tekom fair, the only trade fair for Technical Communication worldwide, and also the tcworld conference. EVA conference meets FREME

The digitization of cultural heritage has become a routine feature of heritage institutions. Globally, the physical remains of history are being scanned and represented in digital formats – to facilitate access, to enable online communication and to preserve the documentation in case of loss or destruction. Museums, libraries and archives are shaping the process of digital conversion, which fundamentally expands the institutional range of services. The 23rd EVA conference in Berlin offers a discussion forum for these current topics. It will encourage the exchange between heritage institutions and technology providers, information professionals and the public administration, highlighting innovative contributions and proposals for application-oriented workshops.
