SEMANTiCS 2015 is a conference for professionals who make semantic computing work, and understand its benefits and know its limitations. Every year, SEMANTiCS attracts information managers, IT-architects, software engineers, and researchers, from organisations ranging from NPOs, universities, public administrations to the largest companies in the world.
The conference is a rich mix of technical talks, panel discussions of important topics, and presentations by people who make things work. In addition, attendees can network with experts in a variety of fields. These relationships provide great value to organisations as they encounter subtle technical issues. These factors make SEMANTiCS the major event for the community bridging between research, industry and public administration.
FREME is fully involved in SEMANTiCS 2015 by exhibiting a demo of the e-Services available today through the FREME framework. In particular this demo is related to the integration of FREME within two popular Web tools. The first one is the CKEditor, a HTML editor for authoring content in different CMS platforms such as Drupal, WordPress and Joomla; in this case FREME provides named entities recognition and allows users to embed in the text additional information retrieved from various dataset. The second one is Ocelot, an open source desktop content editor capable of providing powerful post-editing and language review environment. In this case FREME provides terminology and named entity recognition which aids translators with providing accurate translations. Additionally FREME provides semantic query resource identifiers which can be embedded in the content to add information and interactivity.
A specific poster showing some screenshots of both the FREME empowered version of CKEditor and Ocelot has been realised. Click here to download it.
