Enrico Ferro (Ph.D., M.Sc., B.Sc) has been working for ISMB since 2001 and is currently in charge of the Innovation Development Department, a multidisciplinary team of fifteen researchers working on the strategic, socioeconomic and policy implications of information and communication technologies. Enrico holds an adjunct professor position at the International Labour Organization of the United Nations where he regularly lectures on innovation management to both master students and executives. He has also been a visiting scholar at the Center for Technology in Government at the State University of NY, and at the School of Information Management and Systems at the University of California Berkeley. His research work is multidisciplinary and is characterized by a strong value orientation, a systemic approach to problem solving and public-private mind set. He has produced forty peer-reviewed academic publications, one handbook of research and over fifty research reports. In his career, he has been actively involved in several research projects and impact assessment studies financed by the European Commission with roles ranging from scientific supervisor to senior expert. Enrico is frequently consulted as an external reviewer of project applications and academic papers. Finally, he is a member of different national and international networks like the Digital Government Society of North America, the European IFIP eGov Community and RENA.
