Gerald Haesendonck has joined Multimedialab at the Ghent University – iMinds since the end of 2012 as a researcher, focusing on internet technologies and particularly the Semantic Web. In 2004 he received his Master’s degree in science, informatics, at the Antwerp University. He started as software engineer and developer at the research & development department of Nokia Siemens Networks. In 2007 he moved to Aktor Knowledge Technology, where he also worked as a software engineer. In both jobs Gerald was working on quasi real-time and distributed data processing on the Java platform.
