Massimiliano Spelat graduated in Electronics engineering at the Politecnico di Torino in 2003, where he also obtained the Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication engineering in December 2006. During his 3-years Ph.D. program, Massimiliano spent 18 months working in the Galileo Project Office team at the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) of the European Space Agency (ESA) in The Netherlands, dealing with the analysis of the GIOVE-A signal-in-space. In 2006 Massimiliano started a collaboration with the Fondazione Torino Wireless, a foundation of the Piedmont Region acting in both public and private sectors. His activities were focused on the management of ICT projects. In 2008 Massimiliano joined the ISMB, where he currently coordinates the Strategic Scouting & Information Management Research Unit, a team in charge of performing trends monitoring and technology scouting as well as leading the communication activities of the ISMB through digital channels (website, social media, etc).
