Dr. Michele Osella is the Head of Business Model & Policy Innovation Unit at Istituto Superiore Mario Boella, a multidisciplinary team studying economic, social and policy implications of ICTs. In his daily job, Michele supports – through the coordination of research activities that lie at the intersection of innovation management, technology and policy – public and private decision makers in using ICTs as leverage to favor sustainable development and economic competitiveness. In the academic sphere, Michele is Adjunct Lecturer in international master programs offered by the Polytechnic of Turin in collaboration with ISMB and United Nations; main subjects taught are innovation management, business strategy and business modeling. In addition, he serves as Adjunct Professor in public sector innovation (mainly e-Government and e-Procurement strategies) at the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization (ILO), a specialized United Nations agency.
